How we use AI
Last updated 4 September 2026
FlowDrop uses artificial intelligence and automated tools to help merchants build and run online stores. This page explains where AI is used, what it is not, and how we try to stay transparent. It supplements our Terms of service and Privacy policy.
This page is not legal advice. Merchants are responsible for how they advertise and sell to their own customers, including any disclosures required for AI-generated or AI-assisted content they publish.
Where FlowDrop uses AI
- Storefront design and copy — layout suggestions, headlines, product descriptions, and section text based on the niche and brand you provide.
- Catalog rewrites — titles and descriptions adapted from supplier data you connect.
- Short-form video — scripts, captions, and image-to-video generation from your brief, product, and any character image you upload.
- In-product suggestions — prompts, edits, and operational hints inside the dashboard.
We use third-party AI and media providers (for example OpenRouter and video APIs) as described in our privacy policy. Your inputs may be sent to those providers to fulfill your request.
What AI does not do on its own
- AI does not publish to social accounts without your explicit approval in the product.
- AI does not charge your card or change your subscription — billing is separate.
- AI does not replace your judgment on product claims, pricing, compliance, or whether content is accurate for your audience.
- We instruct our systems not to invent fake customer reviews, press quotes, or buyer counts in generated storefronts — but you should still review everything before going live.
Marketing and advertising transparency
On flowdrop.dev we describe AI-assisted generation in our product pages, pricing, and FAQs. We do not guarantee income, traffic, or ad approval. Example shops and demos on our site are illustrations, not promises of your results.
If you use FlowDrop to create ads or social posts, you should follow applicable rules (including FTC guidance on truthful advertising and AI disclosures) for the platforms and regions where you advertise. When AI materially shapes consumer-facing copy, images, or video, consider labeling it clearly for your shoppers (for example “AI-assisted” or “AI-generated”) where your lawyer or platform policies require it.
Shoppers on stores we host
A merchant’s storefront may include AI-assisted product descriptions or media. The merchant is the seller and is responsible for product claims, pricing, and consumer law. Shoppers with questions about a specific store should contact that merchant first.
Accuracy and limitations
AI output can be wrong, outdated, or inappropriate for your niche. Treat generated copy and video as drafts. You are responsible for fact-checking claims, rights to images and music, and compliance before you publish or run ads.
